Avenue is an independent charity. This means that we are a non-profit-making organisation. We get financial support from a range of sources, including Local Authorities, the Scottish Government and grant funders. All of our income supports the services that we provide to families and individuals.
Unfortunately, being a charity doesn’t mean that we can always offer a free service, but this is what we aim for. We work hard to keep our costs low and to ensure that finance is not a barrier for people. If you are in receipt of benefits or on a low income, please ask about our concessionary fees, funded by Avenue.
We know that families come in a vast range of shapes and sizes, and some will be in stronger financial positions than others. If you can afford it, please consider making a donation to support Avenue’s work, or doing some fundraising for us. You can find some suggestions on our ‘How You Can Help’ page. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help us to keep our fees low and to offer free services where we can.
If you have a child aged 3 or under, or are expecting a child, Relationship Counselling is free.
You may be able to access Legal Aid for Family Mediation, Consulting Children, Parenting Apart or Child Contact Centre services. You can explore this with your solicitor.
Generally, payment or confirmation of Legal Aid is required to be made 48 hours prior to any appointment, and cancellation fees may apply.
